 JANUARY 22, Full Moon

An Esbat, Moon of the First Circle, Tuesday

In the night of the year we are compelled to find the inner strength that will hold us and carry us to spring. It is a time for working with our inner power to develop a sense of who we are as well as to find our place in the web of existence. Winter storms may howl, however, appreciating the beauty of this fierce side of nature means that we can flow with and enjoy the spiral of life energy rather than struggle against it.

FEBRUARY 2, Imbolc

A Sabbat, Saturday,

Imbolc is a time of purification and clearing out old things from our lives. As the world is beginning to waken from winter's slumber, it is time to shed the past and move forward with hope.

 MARCH 20, Ostara,

A Sabbat, Spring Equinox, Thursday

The vernal equinox is a time of balance when day and night are equal. It is a day to celebrate both the earth and sun. It is a day to celebrate and honor the balance of all things: female and male, spiritual and physical.

 APRIL 19, Full Moon

An Esbat, Moon of Waters, Saturday

Life is bursting forth with renewed vigor, and the earth is turning many shades of lush green. Each rain shower seems to bring more plants and trees to life. In the moonlight the softness of spring becomes a shimmering pool of life-force energy that feeds our bodies and souls.

MAY 1, Beltane

A Sabbat, Thursday

Beltane is a celebration of union, fertility, new life and resurrection. May is also a good time to leave offerings at wells and springs for the fairy folk.

JUNE 20, Litha

A Sabbat, Summer Solstice, Friday

This is the time of year when everything is ripening. The Great Goddess is in her full mother aspect. She is the full Moon of summer. Litha celebrates the Sun King and Queen of summer.

JULY 18, Full Moon

An Esbat, Moon of Fire, Friday

Shimmering waves of heat rise skyward during the day, and night does not always bring cooling relief. The Moon of Fire reminds us that her brother , Sun, is at his peak. Bask in the heat of this season and think of the sacred flame that burns within us all.

 AUGUST 1, Lammas,

A Sabbat, Solar Eclipse at 6:22 am, Friday

Lammas is the time of the first harvest, the festival of the first fruits when the Sun King fades as the first crop is taken from the fields. The hot, humid weather that bathes the land in a warm haze imposes a slower pace so that plants, animals and humans have time to complete the cycle of the year.

SEPTEMBER 20, Mabon

A Sabbat, Fall Equinox, Saturday

The second of the three major harvests, is also the autumn equinox. Like its spring counterpart, this is a day of balance between light and dark, the day light will become less there after.

 SAMHAIN CELEBRATION

Will be held on November 1, Saturday

A Sabbat

We are having Samhain Ritual on this day so that children and adults may enjoy Halloween as well.

Samhain is a time to remember ancestors and invite their spirits to join us in celebration of the bountiful harvest we all have reaped this year.

 NOVEMBER 13, Full Moon

An Esbat, Moon of Descent, Thursday

November is a time that is betwixt and between as we move further in the dark of the year. This is a time to turn inward and examine the truths and falsehoods in our lives to enable us to move forward and grow.

 DECEMBER 20, YULE

A Sabbat, Winter Solstice, Saturday

The celebration of Yule is deeply rooted in the cycle of the year and stems from the very ancient practice of honoring the return of the sun after the longest night of the year. A time of transformation, Yule symbolizes the rebirth of the God to the virgin Goddess.
