Movement through Harmonizing Opposing Forces
Many of us have felt strange energies stirring within the Universe, within our lives, our relationships and our jobs. In order for us to move gracefully through the metamorphosis of our soul, and to fully know the tides of the energies that are playing in our lives, we have to understand what is happening astrologically.
Unusual planetary occurrences began happening at the end of 2009. Energetic years usually begin and end on approximately December 21 of each year. The Maya said there would be a great rift and great shift happening on the Winter Solstice (December 21) of 2012. The seven years leading up to the Winter Solstice 2012 are each focused on a different energy center (chakra) of the body. Having gone through the root, sacral, solar plexus, and heart chakras, we entered the energy of the throat chakra on December 21, 2009. The throat chakra asks us to be heard, to communicate clearly what our soul, intuition, and the combination of our heart and intuitive mind are telling us. The throat chakra is the bridge that connects the heart (heart chakra) and the mind (brow chakra). The throat is also considered the power of will, where we learn to surrender personal will. The color associated with the throat chakra is blue. With blue being the color of loyalty, faith, emotions, and healing, it is no surprise that the full moon which occurred right after the beginning of the year of the throat chakra was also a “Blue Moon.” The full moon following the Winter Solstice 2009 was the second full moon that month, which folklore calls a Blue Moon. Along with this Blue Moon, came a lunar eclipse in Cancer. An eclipse is a time of energetic closings and openings; of two powers, Sun and Moon, in conjunction, working together.
Surprisingly, at the same time, Uranus, the planet of idealism, independence, liberation, awakening, rebellion, surprises, and sudden turns, was moving through Pisces, the sign of fantasy, imagination, intuition, sympathy, idealism, and outworldly aspects. Uranus normally stays in a sign for approximately eight years, and while we have had eclipses when Uranus has been in Pisces, this is the first time we have had a blue, lunar eclipsed moon closely following a winter solstice. In addition, the moon was also in the sign of Cancer (water), and Uranus (water bearer) was in Pisces (water), all working in conjunction.
In the months since the powerful Blue Moon in psychic Cancer, Uranus which opens doors, and Pisces which holds doors to other worlds and other dimensions, have become synchronized and have opened a vortex.
For the next six months following the blue moon, we have been guided to follow our emotional nature rather than our intellectual nature. As most of us go through our daily lives acting and basing decisions upon our thoughts, the current energies are showing us this is not the way for us to move forward. We have come into a space where dimensional lines have been blurred.
How does all of this affect you? The cycle, which started at the Blue Moon in December 2009, is coming to a close in July 2010. If you have noticed problems with outside influences, the Universe is telling you to venture within. Many of us have had communication issues within our relationships, or physical health issues, in which the only resolution was to go within. The moon has been guiding us to use our intuition and to go within for our answers, instead of seeking intellectual answers.
If any part of your life has moved backwards, it’s because there is a disconnection between your emotional nature and your physical actions. This disconnection has also been influenced by Uranus moving from Pisces into Aries in May 2010. Aries, a Cardinal sign like Cancer, tells us to start with new actions. Cardinal signs are pioneers, starters, initiators of cycles. Aries is the sign of will power, force, action, courageousness, pioneering, and straightforwardness. Coupled with Aries, Uranus is bringing into our lives surprising new beginnings, unexpected relationships, opportunities, and intuitive awakening. Furthermore, making the energy far more expansive is Jupiter (ruler of fire sign, Sagittarius) which has also moved into Aries. Jupiter usually stays in one sign for an entire year. Jupiter moved into Pisces in January 2010 and in June 2010 unexpectedly moved into Aries to the exact degree of Uranus. So now, we have both the opposition and conjunction of fire and water, which started with the water energies of the Blue Moon in Cancer, opposing the energies of Jupiter and Uranus in Aries.
Many might think the joining of fire and water would be cause for much conflict, but unexpectedly they have come into a harmonious conjunction. Those most affected by this universal occurrence are those with their sun sign in Cancer, those with their Moon in Cancer, or with many planets in Cancer. Those next in line to feel these energies are Arians, those with their moon in Aries, Sagittarians, and Aquarians. We are all affected by this energy at very subtle levels. You may have experienced carefully laid plans falling through, difficulty in communicating, or are now interested in opening your psychic potential.
Now is the time to differentiate between intuition and ego based emotions. Let us act on what our intuition leads us to do, even though we may not see the results of this. It is the time when we are being asked to solely walk by faith alone in order for us to move forward into the next cycle. This window of opportunity closes and the cycle ends July 11, 2010 at the New Moon, which is totally eclipsed in Cancer. At that point, we should have carved new paths and new directions. We must now think as water. Water creates a new path when it is blocked. It continues to flow with the rhythm set by the moon, just as the tides. Water can be as soft as gentle rain. However, water can also quench fire, rot wood, destroy earth, and rust metal. It is now time to tap into the power of water; our emotions. Let us flow with our intuition and let the current carry us.
Spirit has been telling us this whole year to tap into the power of water. The floods in Tennessee and the catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico are but only two examples of this. The weather being very “emotional and moody” recently is another indicator that we have to open our emotions and let them flood our lives.
An intuitive friend of mine has been paying close attention to weather patterns for some time and after noting unusually extreme conditions stated, “Someone is controlling the weather”. My guidance system tells me that someone is Us! The disconnection between our hearts and our minds is clashing, and as a result is creating our environment.
We have been told that we are moving into a new consciousness. No one knows for sure what is going to happen at the end of the Mayan calendar, but forces are telling us that we are moving forward. Open your hearts, act with compassion, and with a nurturing voice and loving hand…Act.
