First I admittedly never trust what is on the 700 club because to me its like a dryer extremely high brow conservative SNL. Second the woman said she decorated her apartment with alot of egyptian materials. SO I was wondering but it was never explained if she was drawn to Isis or not. BUT it made me think back on this show I watched where this woman did practice witchcraft and was drawn to Isis. Well during some spell or initiation some shadow things started to float about or SOMETHING and she freaked out. THUS, I am curious about peoples experiences or others experiences with Goddess energies or perhaps just egyptian magick.
In my beliefs I do not usually draw on one particular God or Goddess but draw upon the energies of Yin and Yang. However, I have been to rituals that do draw on specific Goddesses and Gods AND I am pretty sure I have done specifics myself a couple times earlier on. I have never felt threatened. I have never had a bad experience in a ritual from the Goddesses. The ONLY thing I ever feel in rituals with myself or others is just pure love and acceptance. BUT I know everyone has their own experiences...SO I'd LOVE to know yours...or thoughts on this.
My thoughts: PERSONALLY I think in some cases negative manifestations are the result of "Spiritual Guilt"...meaning you were raised a certain religion or being pulled by a certain religion and thus when you do spells and rituals somehow your spirit or SOME level of your Conscience disagrees and 'fights back' with negative manifestations.
HOWEVER I have often wondered if perhaps Isis is a more elite Goddess...or perhaps all Goddess and Gods test their devotees during periods of ascendance and initiation.

It has been my experience, with respect to Egyptian magic, that the energies flowing from Anunian deities tend to be a bit harsh. More specifically, the energies tend to come in raw form that can be overwhelming to some people. In particular, the energies of Nut and Thoth tend to be on such scale that whatever part of your body you receive the energy through (i.e. the hands) can cramp up.
It is not that Egyptian energies are bad or negative in any way. It's just their nature and form that can make it all overwhelming for some. Let's compare it to, say, the energies of Greek deities.
