So I'd just like to thank Peggy and everyone who helped with the soap making class this Sunday. It has been my favorite out of the many I've taken, and I've already jumped head first into soap making. I have some wrapped up right now! :D You guys were awesome, it was so much fun.. and now I think I'll be joining the soap cult. Just thanks so much for everything!
I just got the soap the class made (Cedarwood Lime) out of the mold. It's beautiful and smells so good, just like spring! Congrats to Tori for making her first batch! Cant wait to see! Welcome to the cult of soapers!
Wow! You didn't waste any time, Tori! I was thinking about you yesterday, wondering how it was going! Thank you for the compliments on the class. It was fun for me, too! Corliss and Janis rock! I couldn't have done it without them!
I add my congrats to Janis' for your first batch of soap! What did you use for your mold? What scent? Botanicals? Tell us! Seeee?? It's the "soap culter" in me coming out! I'd better get with Frank and get a date reserved for our "Soapers Meeting"! =) See you soon!
Well, I told Peggy about the soap. It's Ginger, Sweet Orange, Lime, and Eucalyptus. I actually used a shoe box for the mold, lined it with a trash bag making sure there weren't any wrinkles, and it came out wonderfully! It smells so good, and I just can't wait for it to cure so I can make bars and give them to you guys, Peggy, Janis, and Corliss. And Frank of course, and people from the class. Yes, I have joined the soap culters. And already have been testing things for my next batch. I'm having so much fun, and it's very soothing. And yes, I've got a soap journal started.
And yay about the Cedarwood Lime soap! Can't wait till it cures! :)
