I had a wonderful time at the desert and discussion. Peggy suggested I start a thread about Ghost Hunting since there seemed to be quite a lot of interest in the topic.

I would love to hear about any suggestions on where to go. It would be interesting to hear our peoples' experiences with ghosts or ghost hunting. I would also be interested in hearing about techniques you use to investigate.

Hey Bobbi! I've been meaning to call you or add you on myspace, but I've been so busy. It was so great talking to you and Rob at the gathering the other night. And I have some friends who are actually interested in it as well. The whole ghost hunting thing. I think starting a group up would be a good idea really. If we got enough people, and investigated different things. And well you and I agree on the orb thing! Do you know anyone who is interested in forming a group or investigating here in town since you're still recently moved here. Only a year. Much love and peace.

Hello All,
I am new to this... So here it goes. A friend and I have been Ghost hunting around Clarksville. And we have found somethings I wish we hadn't. Well just for the heck of it we took pics of my yard at night. We saw a lot of orbes around the outside of my house. Then one day she wanted to take pics of the basement. We saw even more orbes and we video taped some too. We think we heard a little girl on the video asking for help. I think this might be true because my special needs son told me he plays with a little girl named Mary. I don't know what to do about this so I am asking for some help. My e-mail add is rendariche@yahoo.com. Thanks for any info you can give me.

Sorry for the delayed response. Things have been crazy at work and it's causing me to work about 10hrs a days! Though it shouldn't be as chaotic after next monday! *crosses her fingers*

I would definitely like to setup a group. Back in MD I was the organizer of many gatherings and investigations. The only problem is that I don't have that much knowledge on haunted locations around Clarksville. If people were able and willing to give me some locations I could start setting up something.

I think we need to have our own group since the Clarksville Ghost Hunters are all scientific based. I would like to have a group of people who are believer and skeptics, psychics/senstives and science orientated, young and old, and male and female.

The best way to get information is to put it online. I can put together a myspace/facebook account and website.

Ren..

Are you or your son scared of the little girl? Have you done any research about your house?

First and foremost, hi! This is Eric, Tori's boyfriend.

Ren, in case you cannot find anything on the history of your current residency, then try and see if you can respond back to the girl. Just talk, but make sure to be honest. Speaking as an empath--if it indeed is a ghost--it just needs attention and sympathy.

I know I talked to you about Troy Tayler and I have a list of his overnight tours. He's having one at Bell Witch cave and the one to Mansfield that I am going to is closed but he added another one. I am going to try and get ahold of him to see if he knows any good places in TN. He has Kentucky on his website so I don't know if he will know any.

Also if you or anyone else is interested in going to the McPike mansion in Alton IL, about 287 miles 4 1/2 hours, I have the link for that too. For me it would have to be November since I'm pretty busy this month.

Public Records as to who owned the house is actually open to public domain. It normally requires you to go to the public records office, which in Montgomery County is the "Register of Deeds" office. The charge you just the cost of making copies and that's it.

In addition to that, you could go to the Public Library, which has an amazing genealogy section, to do research about the families and history.

I PERSONALLY don't believe in doing an cleansing of houses or properties just because I have seen some good and bad reactions. I agree with Eric that sometimes spirits just need acknowledgment in order to move on and sometimes understanding through learning more about them.

This is completely random yet totally kewl. IF you are going ghost hunting TRY and get a "frank phone". I am not sure if its spelled that way. But i saw it on Paranomal State. IF you havent heard its a device that picks up white noise and and few other 'coloured' noises. NOT SURE where one get one...however i think it be SO COOL if you did.

This has been your random moment.

Oh! and my grandmothers place is supposed to be uberly haunted. However we havent seen anything for awhile.

peace

WinterWolf! I am so glad you popped in to the forums. I didn't get a chance to exchange information with you. You know how much I LOVE Troy Taylor. I would love to go on an investigation with him and learn some of his techniques. His book should be required reading.

I'd go anywhere for a good investigation. However, that was when gas was much cheaper. LOL! McPike Mansion does sound interesting and could be a worthwhile trip.

Hey Bobbi, I tried calling and getting ahold of you, but couldn't. I'm really happy to see all the responses on the board! I think I lost your contact info. Your myspace or email and whatnot. I need it! You know I'd love to go out one night with you and Rob. And me and Eric and talk about all this stuff! Sending you blessings.

As far as locations go, I'm going to suggest that if someone recommends the Headless Statues over in Palmyra, don't bother. Yes, SOMETHING is out there, but (1) it's not a ghost and (2) it's really difficult to find.

Sounds like an interesting idea. I'm interested in joining in on this. I also have a digital camera that takes IR photos. Always wanted to catch something interesting with that camera.

Hey Guys! I am sorry I haven't posted back a response in a while. Things have been sorta crazy, but they should be calming down.

I have been getting a ton of resources together for the website and doing some research for location in the area and in adjacent counties.

The website I am going to create is going to start out as a resource to learn about haunted locations and techniques. We will also have a forum where people can post their experiences and locations. Eventually, we will start having social gatherings that will lead to investigations. I will keep you all posted!

Hey Bobbi, have you heard of Peter Jordan? Came out on Unsolved Mysteries quite a few times, apparantly known internationally. I went to a special presentation of his at APSU today and got his contact information. He was offering some sort of advice or help for us to kick off.

Unfortunately, I am without internet at home until Thursday so it's delaying me a bit, but I am getting some done at work. (hee hee)

I don't know him. I will be at practice tonight. Could you give me his information?
